Two cars. Two legends. One Chicago.

Stop three of the Carrera Drive Your Story Tour landed in Pioneer Court on Memorial Day Weekend — rainy MDW on the bookends, but a beautiful break during the activation itself. By the time the cans started hissing, the plaza was filling up, the speakers were playing Latin music, and the energy was already different from anything we’d had on the tour. The matchup was simple: two Chicago legends, head-to-head.

Driver’s side: @asend_one — Chicago skyline, the L, the Ferris wheel, checkered flag racing through the body. Passenger side: @sentrock — his signature bird character, big-eyed pop-comic faces, and the unmistakable CHI 70 trophy nodding to Carrera’s 70th. Thousands of people came through. People danced in the plaza. Chicago PD stopped by for a photo. Asend One took the vote.

Highsnobiety returned to the ground for stop three, this time with Chicago creator SoloCelo (@solocelo_) capturing the day. He chopped it up with both artists — Sentrock and Asend One — right at the car, kept the voting urgency alive across his channels, and made sure the crowd knew exactly what they were standing in the middle of.

THE DAY AT PIONEER COURT

A rainy Memorial Day Weekend on either side — and a window of pure Chicago energy right in the middle. Pioneer Court delivered exactly what this tour was built for.

THE SETTING

Pioneer Court — right on Michigan Avenue, framed by the Tribune Tower and the river. One of the best plazas in the city, and the perfect stage for a Corvette painted live.

THE '79 CORVETTE

Two legends, two sides. Asend painted the city itself into the driver’s side. Sentrock brought his characters and the CHI 70 trophy to the passenger side.

THE WEATHER

Rainy MDW on the bookends — but a beautiful break right when the activation kicked off. The plaza dried out, the sun came through, and Chicago showed up.
